Ruth has been teaching creative arts classes for more than 15 years.  She has developed and taught many various types of classes which include:

...and so much more.  These classes are a wonderful way to learn a new skill and open your imagination!  Her classes are designed for all ages from young children to adults and senior citizens. See Below examples of classes:

Taught by local artist Ruth Tillman, your child will enjoy learning the foundation skills of sewing that will last a lifetime. Students will choose from a number of kit projects developed by Ruth and begin with hand sewing decorative stitches, learning how a simple pillow pattern is put together and ending with basic sewing machine skills. Creative and fun!

Enjoy learning fun techniques to make our own jewelry from making your own cute charms to beading and even weaving.

Learn how to crochet and knit. These skills have been passed down through generations. They are now found to be a wonderful way to relax and create a sense of meditation. The best thing is you get to make 

something while you relax. You can learn either knit and or crochet. You will learn how to read patterns and more.

In a world where children are overexposed to digital media like computers and tablets, more imagination and playtime is needed. This "hands-on” camp teaches students the concepts of graphic design without a computer.  From fuse beads to cookie decorating students will create art that will blow your mind!


This unique mixed media art class combines fine art techniques and poetry. Each student will receive an old hardbound book to use

for all our projects. We will learn different ways to journal through art and poetry while

using the farm to inspire us.

In this class we play with paper.  Learn how to fold paper into origami, 3D paper sculpture, pop-up cards, and more.

Diorama Art has been used for centuries to create stories and dreams from found objects, boxes and creativity.  Make your own dioramas from mini ones to big shoe box size.

Come play with rocks, paint, leaves, thread, sticks, ink and more.  Make art out of natural items.

This class takes the student through Art by learning about past artists and re-creating their art.  Many different mediums are learned and used throughout the class.

Inspired by Anime and Animation we will make 3D characters from paper and clay.  This fun class inspires the anime character inside you.

Learn to make fun toys and games from everyday found objects.  From kaleidoscopes to whirligigs to catapults and more!
